Using stress constructively

If you just sit back and think about what stresses you out in life, you can think of a list of topics. Confronting these topics of stress, your fears in life and taking them on one by one, you are going to lessen what is wrong in your life, you are going to decrease your stress and the strain on your body, you are going to age more gracefully and you are going to be happier! Stress can be useful as you face your fear head on and the changes in your life can be put to good use as well.



An advantage of using your stress to better your life is going to be the change in hormones in your body. Stress and fear are one in the same, but what you might not have realized is that both bring on changes in your hormones, adrenaline rushes that can cause your body to heat up, your heart to race, your muscles to tense up and your mind is racing at the same time.

Use this to your advantage. When you are facing your fears and stress, use the hormonal changes to do something more physical so that you don’t keep all of this bottled up inside of you.

Stress can be worked out of your body by taking a walk, a run, lifting weights, playing ball, or by dancing. Any movement of the body is going to help you release the stress that is bottled up in your body because you are letting ‘out’ and ‘using’ the hormones that are raging in your body due to your brain working overtime.

Think about the last stressful situation that you realized you were in. Your fears of losing your job, at least you thought, were becoming a reality. Your hands were shaking as you were sitting at your place, your mind was racing, and you swear you could feel your heart beating outside of your body.

This a change in hormones that is affecting your body, aging you, and confronting and controlling the situation may not be enough – getting up and running in place for five minutes though really would! Using up this excess energy, the hormones, and the adrenaline that is rushing through your body by some sort of short exercise is very beneficial for you in the long run.

Learning to confront and face your fears, control your stress, and let the raging hormones out of your body by using relaxation and exercise in your life is going to lessen the stress you will have on your body leaving you with a healthier outlook for life.

Go back and think for a minute how I told you that you need to learn to relax your body and find peaceful sleep to help you over come and handle stress in your life. Relaxing your body, finding a sleep pattern that allows you enough rest is going to rejuvenate and revitalize your body, mind, spirit, and your brain. This allows you to better focus on the task at hand, handling and confronting fears and stress. Be sure that in addition to your sleep patterns, you allow yourself to take time away from what is stressing you out so your mind is focusing on something other than your fear for complete relaxation.



Try something that is physical, mental or what ever it is you enjoy like gardening, reading, walking, watching movies or cleaning the house, do what is naturally enjoyable for you to relax to relieve your mind of this stress, and to help you body relax at the same time.

While you are relaxing, doing what you like, and taking your mind off of your fears it will also be important to remember to relax your body mentally as well. What I mean by that statement is that you need to remember to breath, to allow your body to relax and to full relax your nervous system and to raise the oxygen levels in your body so you are not under any type of additional strain.

Breathing in and out, deeply, and repeatedly cleanses your system so you can relax further. You have to be aware of your breathing when you first start this method of relaxing but after a while it will become second nature when you want to relax. Many people find that using this technique of breathing deeply, relaxing and sitting still helps them fall to sleep quickly.

You could be sitting in the sun, on the porch or in your bed, but breathing and relaxing helps your mind and your body cleanses and rejuvenates for a better outlook on life to happen naturally.
