Set aside quality time

Set aside quality time

Finding quality time is not easy. Finding time to yourself can be hard to find when there's work, family, partner or friends to worry about. It is essential though in order for you to feel relaxed and to gather your thoughts and prepare for the next onslaught on your well-being.

Arrange certain times that are reserved for you alone. Ask your partner, friends or family to look after the children, if necessary. If your |(older) children are being demanding, shut yourself in your bedroom and let them get on with it. Putting smaller children in front of a video while you go and have a cup of tea is not going to hurt them, and it is going to do you the world of good.

Make sure that the children go to bed early enough. You and your partner need some time together in an adults-only environment.
