Dealing with stress |

Dealing with stressNot all of your fears are going to be able to be handled within your own time limits, within the frame of mind that you are putting yourself in, so that leaves you with additional needs of handling stress for the fears and problems that are beyond your control. When your biggest fears become a reality you just have to change your mode of attack, and how you will deal with this continued fear.
For example, I found out that I am losing my job but that the plant I work in will not close for three months. I can sit here, think about it every day, and stress out or I can face it, control it, and relax because I need the strength. Stressing out about the plant closing is not going to solve the problem, and I need to keep thinking about that so I can learn to change my focus to my personal needs. My personal need is to stay healthy, find another job, and to eliminate my fear of starting out at a new place of employment. Because I started going to bed at ten every night, I feel more relaxed. I am not sitting on the phone crying to my friends about losing my job and stressing out more, but I am putting my bodily needs in place so that I can continue tomorrow and work out a plan. Without a clear head, I know I am not going to get any further ahead. Insomnia only adds to my feeling bad and I want to change this. Compare this to your own situation, are you going through a divorce, is your child pregnant, are you flunking out of school, are you fearing something that you don’t know if you can control it? Relaxing your body, sleeping well and keeping a clear mind is going to keep your body healthy so you can face the task at hand which in the long run lowers your stress and strain levels on your body. |
